Design Project Manager
SUMMARY
Design Project Manager is responsible for providing quality experience tailored to client needs while managing the design team and the Concetti design process. The Design Project Manager is responsible for ensuring design projects are adhering to contract, within client budget, and progressing in project timeline. The Design Project Manager provides coaching, and guidance to the designers and facilitates multi-disciplinary teamwork to meet client milestones within budget.
In this supervisory role, the Design Project Manager will conduct performance reviews, formal coaching as needed, and support the professional growth and development of the design team.
This role requires creativity, passion, excellent communication, strong project management skills and fresh, evolving design skills. Professional communication with a diverse group of clientele, as well as internal and external team members is critical.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Project Manager:
- Leads design team on all design projects from full strategy to contract and budget adherence with minimal oversight
- Collaborates with Principal Designer on residential projects & commercial projects
- Attends important client meetings with project design team as needed
- Executes project in accordance with client design contract & writes up change orders as needed
- Independently responsible to ensure project timeline & the budget for design hours are adhered to
- Leads client through design process with confidence
- Oversees design team and presents solutions to clients following phased approach (when appropriate) for approval
- Collaborates with Principal Designer on approval of design concepts and selections, ensuring timely review of designers’ work prior to approval meetings
- Responsible for evaluating designers according to company standards and counsels as need arises
- Provides direction and coaching to design team on all aspects of the design process
- Advocates for clients through entire design process
- Maintains consistent communication with professionals and trades, always mindful of representing the Concetti Brand in a positive manner
- Regular and routine onsite attendance
- Serves as a role model for all staff

- Works harmoniously and collaboratively with team members to accomplish agency objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture preferably from a CIDA accredited institution
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Interior Design with demonstrated independent project management.
- Full cycle project management experience, working within budget and timeline restraints
- Leadership experience, supervisory experience with managing others required
SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE
- Experience & proficiency working Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms), Mac computers and devices, AutoCad, SketchUp, Photoshop, Canva, Chief Architect, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest
KNOWLEDGE – DESIGN
- Knowledge of all aspects of Interior Design from inception to completion including:
- Design and materials for residential and commercial projects
- Elements & principles of design
- Architectural selections, flooring, cabinets, tile, lighting, etc
- FF& E selections, furniture, window treatments, area rugs, art and accessories
- Space planning methodology
- Conduct field measures
- Budget management
- Creation of precision technical plans, drawings, and models
- Design trends, material costs, building codes and ADA laws, building systems, and construction methods
- Thorough understanding of procurement process & coordination of sub contractors

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Indoor environments in a climate-controlled building

- Infrequent exposure to dust, debris and loud noises related to construction zones
WORK ENVIRONMENT (IF REMOTE)
- Must have high-speed internet access and access to quiet, well-kept space per Remote Work guidelines
